Brittany France
The Brittany area is located south-southeast of the Cotentin peninsula on the western coast of France. Bordered by the English Channel on the north and west and the Bay of Biscay on the south, the main port on the coast of the Brittany peninsula is Brest. Other important cities are Rennes and Nantes. The Brittany area was liberated from Nazi Germany control in World War II by the Infantry Divisions of the Third Army headed by General George Patton.
